Thousand Oaks Mold Remediation is a mold remediation business serving Thousand Oaks, CA, Newbury Park, Westlake Village and the nearby Conejo Valley communities. We run the website moldremediationthousandoaks.com. This policy covers the website and the phone calls people make to us after finding us there. It does not cover other websites we link to, which have their own policies.
We collect very little, because the website has nothing to fill in. There is no contact form, no quote form, no booking form, no online payment and no account to create. The only way to reach us through the site is to call.
When you call, our phone service keeps the details any phone call carries: the number you called from, the date and time of the call, how long it lasted and whether it was answered. The person who answers writes down what you choose to tell them so we can help with the mold problem. That is usually your name, the address of the property, a number to call you back on and a description of what you are seeing, such as where the growth is and whether there has been a leak.
When you visit the website, our analytics tool records the ordinary technical details of a visit. These include the pages you viewed, the site or search that sent you, the type of device and browser you used, your approximate location at city or region level, and how long you stayed. We also record when someone taps a phone number on the site, so we can tell which pages lead to calls. None of this tells us your name.
We do not ask for and do not want sensitive information through the website, such as Social Security numbers, payment card numbers or medical records.
We use the details from a call to answer your questions, call you back if the line drops, arrange a visit to the property and write up what the job involves and what it will cost before any remediation starts. If we do the job, we keep a record of the work, including where we found the moisture source, so we can answer questions about it later.
We use website analytics to see which pages people read, which ones they leave quickly and which ones lead to a call. That tells us what to fix or explain better on the site. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it to build an advertising profile of you.
A few companies handle data for us so the website can run. Each one uses it only to provide its service:
We may also share information when the law requires it, for example in response to a valid court order.
We keep information only as long as we need it for the reason we collected it. Job records are kept while they are useful for answering questions about the work or for meeting legal and tax duties. Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting in Google Analytics, after which Google deletes it.
If you live in California, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you these rights over the personal information we hold about you:
To make a request, call us at the number below. We will confirm who you are before we act on a request, so we do not hand your information to the wrong person. You can also have an authorized agent make a request for you.
The website is for adults dealing with mold in a home or building. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has given us information, call us and we will delete it.
When we change how we handle information, we update this policy and change the effective date at the top. The version on the website is always the current one.
Call (805) 261-5870 with any question about this policy or about information we hold about you. Calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends and holidays.
