Terms of Service
The terms that govern use of this website and the information it publishes about mold remediation services and calls.
Effective date:
The terms that govern use of this website and the information it publishes about mold remediation services and calls.
Effective date:
These terms apply to anyone who uses moldremediationthousandoaks.com, the website of Thousand Oaks Mold Remediation. By using the website or calling the phone number on it, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the site. A remediation job itself is governed by the written scope of work you receive before the work starts, and that document controls if it differs from anything here.
We remove mold from homes and buildings in Thousand Oaks, CA, Newbury Park, Westlake Village and the nearby Conejo Valley communities. A remediation job means sealing off the affected area, removing mold and the materials it has grown into, cleaning what can be saved, and finding the moisture source that caused the growth so it can be fixed.
The website gives general information about mold, moisture and how remediation works. It is not medical, legal, insurance or engineering advice for your situation. If mold is affecting someone's health, talk to a doctor. If you have questions about an insurance claim, talk to your insurer.
Calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Answering a call is not a promise of a visit at a set time. We agree a visit time with you on the call, based on where the property is and what else is booked.
You must be at least 18 to arrange work with us. If you call about a property you do not own, such as a rental or a home you are selling for someone else, you confirm that you have the owner's permission to let us inspect and work there, or you put us in touch with the owner.
We price each job after we have seen it. Mold jobs vary too much by size, location and the materials involved for a fair price to be given over the phone, so any figure discussed on a call is a rough guide only.
Before any remediation starts, we give you a written scope that lists the work and its price. Work begins only after you have that document and agree to it. If we find something during the job that changes the scope, such as growth behind a wall that was not visible at the first visit, we stop, explain what we found and give you a revised written scope before we do the extra work.
The website does not take payments, deposits or bookings. How and when you pay is set out in your written scope of work.
You can cancel or move a visit by calling us before the visit. If you need to stop a job after work has started, call us and we will agree with you how to leave the work area safe and what is owed for the work already done, as set out in your written scope.
To do the job well and safely, we need you to:
We are responsible for doing the work described in your written scope with reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss caused by things outside our control, such as a new leak, a moisture source you chose not to fix, or damage that existed before we arrived.
The information on the website is provided as it is. We work to keep it accurate, but we do not promise it is complete or current for your property, and we are not liable for decisions you make based on it alone. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under California law that cannot be limited by agreement.
The text, photos, graphics and layout of the website belong to us. You may read, print or share pages for your own personal use, such as sending a page to a family member. You may not copy, republish or sell the content, or use our name in a way that suggests we endorse you, without our written permission.
The website may link to other sites, such as government guidance from the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency or the California Department of Public Health. We link to them because they are useful, but we do not control them and are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA. We work only in California.
If something goes wrong, call us first. Most problems can be sorted out by talking them through, and we would rather fix a concern directly than have it go further. If a dispute cannot be settled that way, either side may take it to a court that has jurisdiction under California law. These terms do not take away any consumer right you have to file a complaint with a California state agency.
We may update these terms when our services or the law change. When we do, we change the effective date at the top. The version on the website on the day you use it is the one that applies.
Call (805) 261-5870 with any question about these terms. Calls are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including nights, weekends and holidays.
